Obituary

Lucy Ann Colvin, a resident of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023, at the age of 68. Born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Roy Allen Colvin, and Beatrice Stimmel Colvin. She is remembered by her loved ones as a generous, thoughtful, and passionate woman who dedicated her life to her family and those in need. She is predeceased by her son, Thomas James Lockard; brothers Richard Allen Colvin Sr. and Johnny Colvin; sister Frankie Lynn Arant.

Lucy's compassion was evident in her role as a foster parent for disabled children. Her commitment to providing a nurturing and loving environment for these children reflected her innate kindness and understanding.

Lucy was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Watson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Lisa Morgan; her brother, David Stimmel of Las Vegas, NV; her sister, Debra Meadow of Ruby, SC; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor Watson, Kaitlin Watson, Eric Scott McEvoy Jr., Sophia Elaine McEvoy, Spencer Morgan, and Blake Crook; and her great-grandchildren, Gavin Blankenbeckler and Noah Blankenbeckler; and Lucy's niece, Brandi Nicol Mangum of Pageland, SC.

Family was the cornerstone of Lucy's life. She relished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often planning and embarking on trips with them. Her granddaughter, Taylor, was a frequent companion on these adventures. Lucy's love for travel extended to her fondness for beach vacations. She derived immense joy from these excursions, creating countless precious memories with her loved ones.

Lucy's thoughtful nature was reflected in her interactions with those around her. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel special and loved, and she reached out to others in a way that was genuinely heartfelt. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland.
