Mrs. Marsha "Mart" Hunter passed away peacefully at her home on August 2, 2023. Mart was married to the late Reecie Hunter for 54 years who passed away on December 11, 2021. Mrs. Marsha "Mart" Lee Hunter was born on November 15, 1950 to the late Layven Lee and Lois Griffin Lee in Union County, NC. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Bob Lee, Jean Jenkins, Lib Starnes, Larry Lee, Dennis Lee and Lottie Hunter. She retired from loving and caring for children in her home. She is a lifelong member of Beulah Presbyterian Church. She loved God, her family and her church family. She enjoyed time with the family at get together "Functions", annual trips to the lake and beach trips. She loved to play games on her computer, she enjoyed Social Media and fishing. Feeding and watching birds and squirrels and flowers. She showed her love to her family by cooking corn bread dressing and candied yams for Thanksgiving and Christmas and Collards for New Years and her banana pudding. Mart is survived by her brothers, Charles Lee of Monroe, NC and Harry Lee of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Betty Lee Griffin (Milton) of Pageland, SC and Ruth Williams (Chuck) of Indian Trail, NC; numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Mary Lee of Huntersville, NC. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on 2:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Beulah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 8305 Landsford Road, Monroe, NC 28112 with Pastor Hunter Roddey officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beulah Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 8305 Landsford Road, Monroe, NC 28112. The family is meeting at the home of Betty and Milton Griffin, 725 N. Maple Street, Pageland, SC 29728.
