Mrs. Mary Moree Plyler, 80, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on September 28, 1938 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Luther Moree and Lena McManus Moree. Mary worked and retired from the medical field in Charlotte after many years. During retirement she began working for Pageland Family Pharmacy. Mary loved to work and always believed in pulling her weight in every task she preformed including doing her share for her church family at Great Vision Baptist Church where she was a member. Mary was the type of person who made sure she did for others as much as possible. Mary's motto in life was "Family First, Always" and she lived by those words daily. Mary loved her family with all her heart whether it was traveling and going on adventures with her grandchildren or simply cooking Sunday meals to bring her whole family together. The love she had for her children and grandchildren will forever remain in their hearts. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by brothers, Pete Moree and J.W. Moree and her sister, Elizabeth Wright. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving son, Mark Plyler (Sandra) of Pageland, South Carolina; daughter, Glenda Plyler Cato (Stuart) of Jefferson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandi Cato, Brittany Cato, and Gabriel Plyler; brother, Luther Junior Moree of Pageland, South Carolina; and sisters, Marcine Sowell and Rose Plyler both of Lancaster, South Carolina. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 P.M on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at White Plains Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Plyler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at White Plains Baptist Church, 3470 White Plains Church Road, Jefferson, South Carolina 29718. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
