Mrs. Mary Kay Poplin, 63, of Pageland, SC passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her home while surrounded by her loving husband. Mrs. Poplin was born on December 16, 1958 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Edward Garland McCommac and Dorothy Caskey McCommac. She is predeceased by her brother, Gary Ray McCommac; sisters, Debra Lou McCommac and Sharon Gail Francis and half-sister, Claudia Rose Priette. Mary was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord. She enjoyed watching television, especially "Gunsmoke" and movies with her favorite actor, John Wayne. She enjoyed painting, shopping and all animals, especially cats. When she was younger, she loved to fish and swim. Mary Poplin is survived by her loving husband, of thirty-two years Eric Poplin of Pageland, SC; daughter, Katherine Johaunah LouAllen of Pageland, SC; brothers, Claude Edward McCommac, Steven Cecil McCommac, David Lee McCommac (Becky) all of Henderson, KY; sisters, Laura Ogle (Glenn) of Pageland, SC and Sherry Veach of Spottsville, KY; grandson, Gabriel James LouAllen, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home, Pageland, SC. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Pastor Don Rhyne officiating.
