Mary Elizabeth Storm VerMeulen, 73, of Mt. Croghan, SC passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1951, in Hackensack, New Jersey to the late Edward Storm and Rita Libby Storm. She is also predeceased by her sister, Cathie White.

Mary's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her love for animals.

Mary was very active with animal rescue, often opening her home and heart to those in need. Her passion for horses was evident to all who knew her. An avid equestrian, she showed horses in her younger days and continued to enjoy the farm life she so dearly loved.

Mary's interests extended beyond the pastures; she relished the times spent at the beach.

She is survived by her son, Michael James Storm of Washington; daughters, Emily VerMeulen of Virginia and Amanda VerMeulen (Andrew Glennon) of Maryland; her sister, Donna Caton of Charlotte, North Carolina and her adored granddaughter, Sloan Storm of Washington.
