Matthew "Matt" Alan Gaddis, 35, of Pageland, SC passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at MUSC Lancaster in Lancaster, SC. Matt Gaddis was born on November 11, 1984 in Charlotte, NC. Parents are Wendell Johnson and Barbara Crump Johnson. He is preceded in death by his brother, Christian Brett Gaddis; maternal grandfather, James B. Crump; paternal grandfather, Olin Johnson; great grandfather, Buck Geiger. Matt loved his children very much and was a hardworking man. He enjoyed spending time outside, camping, fishing, and kayaking. He liked Star Wars, enjoyed playing video games, and collecting tools. Matt is survived by his son, Maverick Gaddis, daughter, Rylee Gaddis, and their mother Jessika Custer, all of Jefferson, SC; brothers, Malachi "Bo" Gaddis of St. Petersburg, FL and Dale Johnson of Norwood, NC; sisters, Michelle Johnson of Pageland, SC, Amanda Lynn Foreshee of Blacksburg, SC, and Jessica Hope Ward of Rock Hill, SC; maternal grandmother, Martha Crump, paternal grandmother, Linda "Mimi" Johnson and paternal grandparents, Jim & Charlotte Sistar. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Pageland, SC. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pageland, SC with Pastor Mack Mullis officiating.
