Ms. Mildred Johnson, 102, of Jefferson, SC passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Monroe, NC. Ms. Johnson was born on April 24, 1920 to the late Charles Daniel and Agnes Todd Johnson in Jefferson, SC. Mildred worked as a hair dresser for many years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC, where she served as Librarian and Historian. Mildred loved doing yard work, especially raking leaves. She enjoyed studying the genealogy of Chesterfield County. Mildred was predeceased by her brothers, Osby, Cleo, Alton and Rufus; sisters, Mable, Marie and Mamie and nephews, Charles, Eddie and Jimmy. Ms. Johnson is survived by her sister, Maynell Johnson Outen of Mint Hill, NC and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 3944 Johnson Road, Jefferson, SC 29718. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Sanders officiating.
