Mr. Arthur Jackson Allen, 73, of Jefferson, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, South Carolina. Mr. Allen was born on August 29, 1942 in Jefferson, South Carolina to the late Marie Kirkley and Walter Blakeney Allen. He later met and married Dianne Rollings. Mr. Arthur Jackson Allen served in the United States Marines and worked as a Dye Technician at Dupont for 35 years. He was a member of Fork Creek United Methodist Church in Jefferson, SC. Mr. Allen is survived by his Wife, Dianne Allen, of the home, Son, Arthur Allen, Jr. (Pamela) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Daughters, Jacqueline Lipscomb (Gary) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Carol Lee Boykin (Richard) of Bishopville, SC, Sister, Judy Plyler of Pageland, SC, Grandchildren, Blake Allen Lipscomb of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Richard Jackson Blackwell Boykin of Bishopville, SC, Sutton Marie Allen of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Maddox Lee Anne Allen of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Bridget Dilly Allen of Mt. Pleasant, SC and many Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Fork Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor Carl Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Fork Creek United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
