Mr. Charles Harold Free, 85, of Lancaster, SC died suddenly on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Mr. Free was born on January 1, 1928 in Union County, NC to the late Thomas Howard and Deannie Wheeler Free. Charles was united in marriage to his wife Patricia, who predeceased him. He is also predeceased by his Son, Timothy Free, Brother, Howard Free and Sister, Eunice Free. He was raised in College Point, New York where he later started his own business, Lu-Sheba Contracting. He soon after expanded his business skills and started Ace Waterproofing and Mev-Lin. Mr. Free retired about 15 years ago and moved to Lancaster, SC. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and cats. He even took the time out of his busy schedule to feed the stray dogs and cats around Pageland. Mr. Charles Harold Free is survived by his Sister, Janet Furey of Hicksville, NY, Brother, Robert "Richie" Free of Lancaster, SC and Many Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2013, Baumgartner Funeral Home in Pageland, SC. He will be buried at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Huntington, New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paws & Claws, PO Box 386, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
