Mr. Claude Robert Demby, 83, of Pageland, SC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Zion United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, March 29, 2013 at Baumgartner Funeral Home. Mr. Claude Robert Demby is the son of the late Robert Lee and Nancy Jordan Demby. He was also predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Clontz Demby, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Demby retired from the Postal Service and was the owner of Pageland Furniture Company. He was a member at Zion United Methodist Church, where he served on several committees; he was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge 58 and the American Legion. Survivors include his Son: Gregory P. Demby of Pageland, SC; Sisters, Betty Jo Leaird of Pageland, SC, Doris Laney of Pageland, SC; Sister-in-law, Peggy Demby of Pageland, SC; Special Friend, Barbara Lowery of Monroe, NC and several nieces and nephews.
