Mr. Clyde Rollings, 85, of Jefferson, SC went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Clyde Rollings was born in Chesterfield, SC on February 16, 1934 to the late Walter Rollings and Julia Demby Rollings. He was employed by DuPont. Mr. Rollings was a family man that loved to spend time with his grandkids and great grandkids; as well as, his church family. He was a faithful church member of Jefferson United Methodist Church for many years. During his free time, he enjoyed to dance, spend time at the Fitzgerald Senior Center in Monroe, NC and garden and landscape in his yard. His favorite time of year was Christmas when he would always decorate his house and yard. Mr. Rollings is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Rollings; brothers, Junior Rollings, Ramsey Rollings, Paul Rollings, Hazel Rollings and Bill Rollings; sisters, Ruth Rollings Rushing and Lucy Rollings Parks, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Rollings is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Minnie Ruth Rollings of Jefferson, SC; son, Maxie Rollins (Cathy) of Jefferson, SC; daughter, Tonya Rollings of Monroe, NC; sister, Ethel Greene (Clark) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Rollins (Jennifer) of Rock Hill, SC, Travis Rollins (Melissa) of Lugoff, SC, and Ashley Atkinson (Brandon) of Pageland, SC; great grandchildren, Graham, Nash, Jentrie, Addison, Annsley, Carson and Aleah; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson, SC. There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Jefferson United Methodist Church with Pastor Bart Sistare and Pastor Jack Fenner officiating. Burial will follow at Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ann Moore, Brenda Hough, Elizabeth Knight and Diane Martin for all of the love and care shown to the family.
