Obituary

Mr. Horace Neil Clark, age 89, of Pageland, SC, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, while at Morningside-Lancaster. He was surrounded by his loving family and under the wonderful care of Hospice. Mr. Clark was born on April 25, 1926 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Clayton David Clark and Lula Marze Clark. He later met and united in marriage to Martha Smith. He owned Clark Gas and Oil in Pageland for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pageland, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member for many years. He also served in the United States Army. Mr. Clark served on the Town of Pageland Council for 31 years and as Mayor Pro Tem for 20 Years. He was a life member of the Pageland Fire Department and served on the local School Board. Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his Brother, Roy Clark and his Sisters, Mary Lou Rivers and Betty Krimminger. He is survived by his Wife, Martha Smith Clark of Pageland, SC, Sons, Chuck Clark (Teresa) of Pageland, SC, Steve Clark (Fran) of Fountain Inn, SC and Mark Clark (Lou Anne) of Concord, NC, Daughter, Dawn Graves (Rodney) of Spartanburg, SC, Sisters, Effie Parham of Cornelia, GA and Ann Smith of Rincon, GA and Twelve Grandchildren, Bryant Clark of Metter, GA, Jarrod Clark of Pageland, SC, Elizabeth Turner of Hartsville, SC, Martha Hendrix of Greenville, SC, Reaves Pinson of Greenwood, SC, Sarah McCleod of Charleston, SC, Anna Fickey of Greenville, SC, Chip Clark of Concord, NC, Mollie Clark of Concord, NC, Clark Graves of Rock Hill, SC, Luke Graves of Clemson, SC and Lanie Graves of Spartanburg, SC and Six Great Grandchildren, Holden Starling of Hartsville, SC, Reed Starling of Hartsville, SC, Anne Hollis Pinson of Greenwood, SC, Sam Pinson of Greenwood, SC, Guy Hendrix of Greenville, SC and Mac Clark of Concord, NC A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale and Dr. Ernest Winburn officiating. The interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Pageland in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001 or Connie Maxwell Scholarship Fund C/O South Pointe Christian School, PO Box 188, Pageland, SC. 29728.
