Mr. James E. Crook, 79, of Jefferson, SC went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Mr.Crook was born in Jefferson, South Carolina on January 22, 1934, the son of the late Sam and Inez Plyler Crook. He was united in marriage to Shirley "Nannie" Ann Eubanks Crook, who predeceased him. Mr. Crook worked for Dupont for 33 years and worked for White Plains Golf Course for 13 years. He was also a member of Jefferson First Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a Brother, Billy Crook and a Sister, Doris Courtney. He is survived by a Special Friend, Cindy Sullivan of Jefferson, SC; Son, Jimbo Crook (Nadine) of Jefferson, SC; Daughter, Susan Stegall of Jefferson, SC; Brothers, Cull Crook (Macy) of Jefferson, SC and Sammy Crook of Buford, SC; Sister, Lois Miller (Clyde) of Greenville, SC; Grandchildren, Ryan Stegall (Meagan) of Mt. Croghan, SC, Jennifer Helms (Daniel) of Pageland, SC and Caroline Culbertson (Neal) of Laurens, SC. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Town Cemetery.
