Mr. James Tommy McCray, 68, of Peachland, NC went to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Mr. McCray was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He is the Son of the late John and Carrie Jordan McCray. Mr. McCray is also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise McCray. He is survived by his Son, John McCray (Karen) of Peachland, NC; Daughter, Dorrie Evans (Rodney) of Pageland, SC; Grandchildren, Haley Martin of Charlotte, NC, Nicolas Martin of Pageland, SC, Kelsey Spurrier of Peachland, SC, Kiersten Spurrier of Charlotte, NC and Robert Spurrier of Charlotte, NC. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 26, 2013 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. The inurnment will to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 15958 White Store - Pageland Road, Marshville, NC 28103 or Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
