Mr. Jerry Andrew Hawkins, 71, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Jerry Hawkins was born on October 23, 1947 in Mt. Olive, NC to the late Coy Andrew Hawkins and Myad Campbell Hawkins. He worked for many years as an engineer for the power plant. Because he liked to thrill seek, he loved NASCAR and working on cars. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and great grandkids going to the movies and driving places, especially amusement parks. Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife, Patsy Hawkins of Pageland, SC; daughters, Shannon Vergason and Patrice Lovings both of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, T.J. Lovings, Bekkah Huggins, Monica Boelk, Drew Helton, Briann Marlow, Olivia Vergason and Hailey Jolly and great grandchildren, Bayden, Luke, Emalynn, Jayce, Richie, Lily, Liam, Henry and Emery. The family will receive friends at the Pageland Rose Memorial of the Nazarene Church from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at the Pageland Rose Memorial of the Nazarene Church at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 with Pastor Scott Gibson and Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
