Mr. Jerry Wayne Maples, 71, of Pageland, SC went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 10, 2015 while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice. Mr. Maples was born on July 26, 1943 in Union County, North Carolina to the late Wilbert and Aileen Laney Maples. He met and later united in marriage to Janice Jenkins. He worked for Conbraco as a Production Control Officer. After 23 years of dedication to Conbraco, he decided to retire. He was also a member of Providence Baptist Church and served in the US Navy. Mr. Maples enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Brother, Billy Maples and his Sister, Nancy Moser. He is survived by his Wife, Janice Maples of the home, Son, Jerry Maples II (Rhonda) of Pageland, SC, Daughter, Dawn Gleaton (Jeffery) of Lancaster, SC, Brothers, William Maples (Virginia) of Monroe, NC and Ronnie Maples and his Grandchildren, Mallorie Gleaton, Tyler Gleaton, Justin Gleaton and Devin Gleaton all of Lancaster, SC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church with the Pastor Roger Wall officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church.
