Mr. Jimmy Russell Griffin, 77, of Pageland, SC went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Mr. Jimmy Russell Griffin was born in Union County, North Carolina. He is the son of the late Bruce and Frances L. Clontz Griffin. Mr. Griffin is preceded in death by his four Brothers, James H. Griffin, Floyd Griffin, Cecil Griffin and Lewis Griffin. He worked for Springs Industries and retired after 41 years. Mr. Griffin was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. Mr. Griffin is survived by his Wife, Georgia Faye Griffin of the home, Daughter, Shannon Griffin of Pageland, SC and a Sister, Betty Jean Autry of Wingate, NC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Union Hill Baptist Church of Pageland. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Baumgartner Funeral Home.
