Mr. John "Pinky" A. Jackson, 80, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Preston House in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Jackson was born on September 4, 1934 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Robert and Bessie Sullivan Jackson. John "Pinky" Jackson later united in marriage to his sweet heart Minnie Sue Mills, who precedes him in death. He is preceded in death by his Sister, Margaret Tippins and Brother, Bobby Jackson. "Pinky" was a Lineman and a Line Supervisor for Lynches River Electric Cooperative for 42 years. He is survived by his Son, Larry Jackson (Cindy) of Tega Cay, SC; Daughter, Kathy Tuttle (Bryan) of Rock Hill, SC; Brothers, J.T. Jackson (Betty) of Lansing, MI, Therald Jackson (Joyce) of Monroe, NC and Bert Jackson (Tillie) of Pageland, SC; Grandchildren, John Stephen Jackson (Joanie) of Fort Mill, SC, Christopher Lee Jackson (Emily) of Fort Mill, SC, Travis Stine (Ming) of Boston, MA and Nathan Stine of Wilmington, NC and Great Grandchildren, Chloe Marie Jackson, John Wyatt Jackson and Carter Lee Jackson all of Fort Mill, SC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Dewey Thomas and Pastor Roger Wall officiating. The burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Providence Baptist Church in the Family Life Center.
