Mr. John Alexander McMillan, Jr. "Old Jake", 78 of Jefferson, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare System-Union in Monroe, North Carolina while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. John Alexander McMillan, Jr. was born in Hartsville, South Carolina to the late Elizabeth Miller McMillan and John Alexander McMillan, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Supervisor over the Millwright Shop for Sonoco in Hartsville, SC, where he worked for 42 years. Mr. McMillan was a life member of Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson, SC. Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace McMillan of the home, Sons, Richard McMillan of Jefferson, SC, Bill McMillan (Tammy) of McBee, SC and Keith "Frog" McMillan of Jefferson, SC, Daughter, Lori Middleton (Kevin) of Jefferson, SC, Brother, Derryl McMillan (Sue) of Jefferson, SC, Grandchildren, Jessica Baker (Dustin), Justin "J" McMillan, Dustin "D" McMillan, all of Jefferson, SC, Amanda Humphries (Chip) and Cody McMillan of McBee, SC, Brianne Middleton, Austin Middleton and Chloe McMillan, all of Jefferson, SC, and Great Granddaughter, Lillie "Lillie Bug" Grace Baker of Jefferson, SC. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Town Cemetery. Friends may visit any time at the family's home.
