Mr. Robert Griggs Hancock, 82, of Pageland, SC went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014 while at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Robert Griggs Hancock was born in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Elbert and Wilma Funderburk Hancock. He later married Shirley Funderburk. Mr. Hancock is preceded in death by his Brothers, Tom Hancock and Harry Hancock and Sisters, Jane Dawkins and Eudora Reynolds. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hancock is survived by his Wife, Shirley Funderburk Hancock of the home, Daughter, Annette Howell of Florence, SC, Sisters, Fran Moore of Pageland, SC, Marty Lamb of Pageland, SC and Sue Morey of Columbia, SC, Grandchildren, Amanda Howell of Lamar, SC and Zachary Howell of Lamar, SC and Many Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall.
