Mr. Theron Whitaker, 84,of Concord, NC, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 under the loving care of Hospice and his family in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Mr. Whitaker was born on July 24, 1929 in Pageland, SC, the son of the late Alonzo and Callie Bowden Whitaker. He was a retired Truck Driver and served in the US Army. He is survived by his son, Dwayne Whitaker (Teresa) of Concord, NC and daughters, Vickie Tidwell (Gary), and Janet Herring both of Concord, NC, one brother, Bobby Whitaker of Glencoe, Kentucky, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Funeral Home.
