Mr. Virgil Martin Deese, 83, of Pageland, SC went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 28, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Deese was born in Anson County, North Carolina to the late Lucian and Lela Purvis Deese. He later united in marriage to Betty Deese, who he is preceded in death. He is also preceded in death by his Son, Bradley Deese and his Daughter, Zan Renee Deese. Mr. Deese was a Member of First Baptist Church of Pageland. Mr. Deese served in the US Army. Mr. Deese is survived by his Son, Brian Deese (Enith) of Pineville, NC, Sisters, Hazel Surratte of Monroe, NC and Zona Adams of Morven, NC and Grandchildren, Zan Malia Deese, Brannon, Zaida and Aleshka Deese. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Pageland. The interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Pageland in the Fellowship Hall.
