Mrs. Amanda Louise Allen Smith, 95, of Wilmington, NC and formerly of Pageland, SC passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Davis Health Care in Wilmington, NC while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Amanda Louise Allen Smith was born on August 16, 1923 in Pageland, SC to the late Harmon W. Allen and Janie Lingle Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sanford Smith and sister, Freida Presnell. Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Pageland and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Louise enjoyed listening to church hymns and the Symphony and watching Lawrence Welk on PBS. She served as Clerk of Pageland for over 15 years. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Louise enjoyed Pageland and family history and was a big Clemson Tigers fan. Mrs. Smith is survived by sons, Roy Allen Smith Sr. (Shirley) of Wilmington, NC and Robert Sandford Smith (Rhonda) of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Roy Allen Smith Jr (Susan) of Raleigh, NC, Andrew Riley Smith of Wilmington, NC, Kimberly Dawn Smith Mims (Damon), Ashleign Brooke Smith (Benjamin Moore), both are from Greenville, SC, and Georgina Smith of Greenville NC; two great grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Smith and Sara Kate Smith both of Raleigh, NC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Pageland, 203 West Pigg Street, Pageland, SC with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery following the service. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Pageland in the fellowship hall.
