Mrs. Carolyn Mills Carnes, 70, of Pageland, SC went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2014 in Monroe, NC. Mrs. Carolyn Mills Carnes was born in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Oscar and Beatrice Phillips Mills. She was later united in marriage to Wayne M. "Jiggs" Carnes. Mrs. Carnes was the owner and operator of The Casual Shop in Pageland for 35 years. She was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church and continued at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland. She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Kristen Carnes, Sister, Elizabeth Griffin and Brother, Billy Mills. Mrs. Carnes is survived by her Husband, Wayne M. Carnes of the home, Daughter, Jennifer Gardner (Wesley) of Charlotte, NC, Brother, Toby Mills of Pageland, SC, Sister, Barbara Knight of Raleigh, NC and Grandchildren, Ethan Gardner of Charlotte, NC and Greyson Gardner of Charlotte, NC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland. The burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Pageland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland in the Fellowship Hall.
