Mrs. Mary Louise Langley Bess, 83, of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2013 while among her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Mrs. Mary Louise Langley Bess was born in Charles County, Maryland to the late Joseph Eugene and Catherine Robey Langley. She was united in marriage to Winfred Lee Bess Sr. Mrs. Bess was a faithful member of High Point Baptist Church. She also opened up her home to more than 47 foster children over the years. She is predeceased by her Sisters, Tommy Langley and Audrey Robertson. Mrs. Bess is survived by her Husband, Winfred Bess of the home, Sons, Lee Bess of Pageland, SC, Michael Bess of Pageland, SC and Brian Bess of Pageland, SC, Daughter, Patty Funderburk (Ray) of Pageland, SC, Sister, Jeanne Bender of W. Virginia, Nine Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at High Point Baptist Church in the Life Center. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 24, 2013 at High Point Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
