Mrs. Pat Edwards Houston, 84, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at ClareBridge in Monroe, North Carolina. Mrs. Houston was born April 26, 1930 in Marshville, North Carolina to the late Thomas Baker and Jesse Strawn Edwards. She later united in marriage to H. H. "Hop" Houston, Jr. who precedes her in death. She was a homemaker, who loved her husband and children. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and also sang in the choir. She enjoyed singing and baking. She is preceded in death by her Brother, Joseph Worth Edwards and five Sisters, Dorothy Funderburk, Virginia Eramo, Dale Thomas, Jean E Plyler and Donna Leaird. Mrs. Houston is survived by her Children, Kin Houston (Sheila) of Boca Raton, FL, Linda Rowell (Don), Doug Houston (Robin) and Jennifer Houston all of Pageland, SC; four Grandsons, Bradley Houston, Cameron Houston, Michael Houston and Victor Houston; two Granddaughters, Aubree Houston and Bailey Crenshaw and eight Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Pageland, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland.
