Ms. Betty Hendrix Johns, 88, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 10, 2014, while among her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County. Ms. Johns was born Sunday, February 28, 1926 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Joseph and Willie Outen Hendrix. She later united in marriage to William L. "Bill" Johns who precedes her in death. She was an avid golfer, loved the South Carolina Gamecocks and Atlanta Braves. She was a lifetime member of Providence Baptist Church. Ms. Johns retired after many years as the Director of Chesco Services. She is survived by her Daughter, Wanda (Cookie) Davis of Pageland, SC; Son, Lovia (Phyllis) Johns of Pageland, SC, Brother, Danny (Elaine) Hendrix of Pageland, SC, a Sister, Margie H. Deegan of Pageland, SC, Three grandchildren, Brad Johns of Pageland, SC, Kris (Erica) Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Alison Baker of Indian Trail, NC and Four Great Grandchildren. The family would like to thank Gloria Hendrix for special care given to Ms. Johns. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Providence Baptist Church. The Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Pageland, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Providence Baptist Church in the Life Center.
