Mrs. Myrtis Blackburn McCray, 84, of Pageland, SC passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 while her family was by her side. Mrs. McCray was born on March 31, 1936 to the late Roth and Dorothy Rowell Blackburn in Pageland, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey McCray and her sister, Macy Crook. She was a member of Wolf Pond Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and sang in the Choir. She loved spending time reading. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. McCray is survived by her daughters, Jan Marshall (John) of Lancaster, SC and Meredith Petty (Wayne) of Pageland, SC; brother, Dewey Blackburn (Patsy) of Pageland, SC; sisters, Eva Appel of Jackson, MI and Carolyn Platts of Mint Hill, NC; grandchildren, Jason Marshall, Lauren Marshall, Riley Petty and Mason Petty and great grandchildren, Andrew Marshall and Liam Marshall. The family will hold a private Graveside Service at a later date. Due to the government-mandated, COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that you practice social distancing at all times.
