Mrs. Nannie Geiger Arant Hammond, 90, of Pageland, SC passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Monroe, NC. Mrs. Nannie Hammond was born on March 23, 1930 in Jefferson, SC to the late Joseph W. Geiger and Mattie Hayes Geiger. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Arant and her second husband, Robert Hammond; son, Jeffery Warren Arant, seven brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Hammond was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She worked for over 20 years at Springs Industries and almost 15 years at Leigh Anne's Restaurant in Lancaster. She was a wise, people loving, witty lady who loved her chocolate. Mrs. Hammond was always so uplifting and welcoming to all she met. Nannie was a precious sweet beautiful lady who is now walking, singing, and seeing all of God's beauty in Heaven. Mrs. Hammond is survived by her sons, Freddie Arant (Nancy) of Pageland, SC, Lynn Arant of Lancaster, SC, Robert Hammond (Kim) of Greenville, SC, and Russell Rusty Hammond (Mitzi) of Newport NC; daughters, Mary Arant of Lancaster, SC, Brenda Arant (Bobby Moseley) of Pageland, SC, and Julia Arant Waits of Lancaster, SC; sister, Thelma Melton of Jefferson, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Anyone can come by Baumgartner Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects. There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Union Hill Baptist Church,1209 Union Hill Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728 with Pastor Robin Hewitt officiating.
