Mr. Parnell Bill Broome, 89, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Broome was born in York County, South Carolina on December 8, 1927 to the late Luther Pierce Broome and Sarah Jackson Broome. He later met and united in marriage to the love of his life Mrs. Gladys Williams Broome. Bill was a member of White Plains Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC. He was very proud of being able to serve his country by serving in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving wife, Gladys Broome of Pageland, South Carolina; sons, Chris Broome (Kim) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Dennis Williams (Jackie) of Jefferson, South Carolina; brother, Fred Broome (Carol) of Pageland, South Carolina; sister, Winnie Broome of Pageland, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Bradley Williams, Emily Broome, Christopher Broome and Madison Broome; and two great-grandchildren, Corey Williams and Bryce Williams. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church with Pastor Ronald F. Hargett and Rev. Tony Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Full Military Honors from the United States Air Force. The Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church prior to the service.
