Priscilla Ann Plyler, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at the age of 82 in Chester, South Carolina. She is predeceased by her husband, James Bevin Plyler; her son, James Randall Plyler and special friend, Ems Miller.
She was a loving mother to her son, Jeffrey Bevin Plyler, and a guiding light to her daughter-in-law, Lynn Plyler; her grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Emylie, and Jaymie Plyler, and she embraced her role as a grandmother with every ounce of her being. The family circle expanded with the addition of step-grandchildren, Steven Spivey and Adrien Hopkins, and five great-grandchildren.
Her brothers, Olin Grant of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Calvin Funderburk, (Mary) of Sharon, SC; her stepbrother, Wilbur Grant Jr. (Mitzi) of Lugoff, SC and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Priscilla's friendships were as enduring as they were deep, with special friends, Charles and Penny House and Mary Morgan standing testament to the bonds she formed throughout her life. Her strong Christian Faith was a pillar of her life that reflected in her relationships with others. Her generosity and captivating personality drew people to her, and she cherished these relationships with every fiber of her being.
Priscilla found joy in the thrill of a good find at yard sales and thrift stores. Her love for the beach was profound, where she found solace in the rhythm of the waves and the endless horizon. These interests were more than hobbies; they were the avenues through which Priscilla connected with the world and shared her zest for life with others. Her home going consummated her meeting Jesus face to face along with many family and friends.
