Raymond Junior Griffin, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on July 28, 1948, in Pageland, South Carolina, to the late Raymond T. Griffin, and Ruth Moser Griffin. He was also predeceased by his wife, Louise C. Griffin; brother, Emmit T. Griffin and Bill Griffin; sister, Elsie Thomas and granddaughter, Cecily Sherbo.

Raymond was the epitome of a family man, whose life was a testament to the love and care he had for his children. He is survived by his devoted son, Lynn Griffin (Kay) of Pageland, SC and his cherished daughters, Angie Johnson (Danny) of Pageland, SC, Crystal Myers (Raymond) of Clendinin, West Virginia and Ann Dolan (Chris) of Clearwater, Florida. Raymond's legacy lives on through the lives of his children, and his six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a very special friend, Barbara Howell and his faithful sidekick Killer who will continue to honor his memory by embodying the values he instilled in them.

Professionally, Raymond was highly skilled in automotive body work. His hands shaped and repaired countless vehicles, restoring them to their former glory. His work was not just a job but a craft that he approached with the precision and creativity that were hallmarks of his character.

Beyond his professional life, Raymond had a passion for cars, holding a particular fondness for Corvettes. His eyes would light up at the sight of a sleek, well-maintained Corvette, a reflection of his appreciation for the finer details in both his work and his hobbies. Additionally, Raymond found great pleasure in watching western movies, an interest that allowed him to escape into the adventurous and rugged landscapes that captured his imagination.

Raymond was a loving, interesting, and creative soul, qualities that were evident to all who knew him. His presence brought a sense of comfort and joy to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the community of Pageland.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Baumgartner Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Stancill officiating.
