Robbie Lemuel Robertson, Sr., age 80, of Pageland, South Carolina, passed away at his home June 18, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born June 14, 1946, in Monroe, North Carolina, and lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and a deep commitment to his community and faith.
Funeral service is at 11am on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Mullis and Pastor Jerry McManus officiating. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, June 19, 2026 at the home of Chris and Mary Blythe Chipman.
Robbie was the son of the late Adam and Mary Robertson. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Cato Robertson; his brother, James Riley Robertson; and his infant son, Brian Lemuel Robertson. He is survived by his children, Mary Blythe Chipman and her husband, Chris, of Monroe, North Carolina; Sarah Robertson Deason and her husband, Jeff, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Robbie Lemuel Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Brittany, of Jefferson, South Carolina. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Caleb Chipman, Adam Chipman, and Asher Robertson.
Robbie graduated from Appalachian State University in 1968. He worked as an educator, coach, and administrator in the Florence and Chesterfield County Schools. After his years in education, he joined his parents in the retail grocery business at the Pageland Food Center. Following a brief return to education, Robbie and Julia built Springhill Assisted Living in 1999, which they owned and operated until their retirement in 2014.
Robbie was a faithful Christian whose life reflected his beliefs in quiet and meaningful ways. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He was also appointed to the CHESCO Board of Directors, where he served faithfully for 38 years.
Those who knew Robbie will remember his warm presence, his steady nature, and his genuine enjoyment of time spent with family and friends. He especially delighted in trips to the mountains and never made a journey to the high country without his beloved canine companion, Buck.
Robbie will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, educator, businessman, and community servant.

Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland, SC is serving the Robertson family.
The family will receive visitors at the Chipman residence in the afternoon.
