Robert Alan Evans, of Marshville, NC, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023, at the age of 70 in Monroe, NC.

Born on October 18, 1952, in Monroe, NC, Bobby was a lifelong resident who left an indelible mark on the community and the hearts of those who knew him. Bobby was an extraordinarily skilled mechanic, spending many years of his career at Volkswagen. His love for cars extended beyond his professional life; classic cars were one of his passions, and he could often be found tinkering under the hood of a vintage model. He later owned and operated a Shell Station in Pageland, SC, where he was known for his friendly service and interesting conversations. His career also saw him working in the telecommunications field, demonstrating his diverse talents and adaptability. Bobby's interests were not limited to cars. He was a dedicated NASCAR fan, and his love for speed extended to the drag racing circuit and greyhound races. He was also a skilled pool player, often sharing friendly games with friends and family. Bobby was known for being handy, interesting, and friendly. His kindness and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure in his community.

Bobby is survived by his companion of twenty-five years, Sybil Jordan of Marshville, NC; his son of the heart, Blake Jordan of Marshville, NC, and his daughter, Jennifer Dockery (Keith) of Monroe, NC; Bobby's brother, Donnie Evans (Kay) of Pageland, SC. He also leaves behind his grandsons, Tyler and Walker Dockery both of Monroe, NC and grandson of the heart, Hanley Jordan of Marshville, NC. Bobby was predeceased by his parents, Dallas Nelson Evans and Marian Funderburk Evans and his brother, Nelson Evans.
