Mr. Sammy Lee Crook, 78, of Lancaster, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at The Rehab Center of Cheraw. He was born on October 5, 1941 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, a son of the late Samuel A. Crook and Inez Plyler Crook. Mr. Crook retired from Springs Industries Elliott Plant & Cane Creek Park. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Jefferson, South Carolina. Mr. Crook enjoyed fishing with his brothers, cutting his lawn & sitting outdoors. Mr. Crook is survived by three daughters, Lori Haidar & husband Moe of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dawn Hinson and Cindy Lyles both of Lancaster, South Carolina; son, Paul Crook of Devens, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Stotlar & Brandon of Lancaster, South Carolina, Shona Kelly & Brendan of Fortville, Indiana, Kristen Lambeth & Jonathan of Concord, North Carolina, Chesney L. Shehane & James of Lexington, South Carolina, Jantzen Crook and Alanna Crook of Virginia, Savannah Lyles of Lancaster, South Carolina; ten great-grandchildren and two sisters-n-law Mildred Crook of Kershaw, South Carolina and Macy Crook of Lancaster, South Carolina. Mr. Crook was predeceased by three brothers, W.C. Crook, James Crook, Billy Crook and five sisters, Lois Miller, Doris Courtney and a set of infant triplets. There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, South Carolina with Pastor Robert Rivers officiating.
