Mrs. Sara Rollings Deese, 90, of Pageland, SC passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Sara was born on December 5, 1934 in Jefferson, SC to the late Furman and Eufalla Rollings. Sara met and married her best friend and love of her life, the late Harry W. Deese and they shared a wonderful 60 years together. She was a retired Personnel Manager for Caro-Knit in Jefferson, SC where she worked over 30 years. She loved life and believed in living life to the fullest. She was incredibly steeped in her faith and began each morning reading "Mornings with Jesus". Even though she didn't drive any longer, it did not hinder her from remaining a faithful and loyal member of First Baptist Church by attending services online. She looked forward to the messages delivered by Dr. Joel Dale. She put on her Sunday best, ensured her hair was perfectly coiffed, and her lipstick was immaculate; to sit down and tune in to Sunday morning Service. When her health began to decline, she stayed connected to faith, family and friends through technology and even used her connection to spread joy to others. She developed quite a knack for telling jokes and gained a multitude of new friends through her "Wednesday Night with Nana" video chronicles. She was always seeking opportunities to see others smile, whether through humor or a helping hand. In the words of her late husband, Goober, "She was as handy as a shirt pocket" Although she will be missed very much, she leaves behind family members, friends, and others who loved her and have very fond memories and cherished stories to tell for years to come.

There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating.

Anyone can come by Baumgartner Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont, 901 West Meeting Street Suite 104, Lancaster, SC 29720.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Deese, her father and mother, Furman and Eufalla Rollings and her brother, Bobby Rollings.

She is survived by her son, Tony (Karla) Deese, a daughter, Tammy (Al) Farshchi, three grandchildren, Alex (Victoria) and Adam Farshchi, Shelby (Ryan) Winters, sister-in-law, Patti Rollings, two nephews, two nieces and six grand dogs, Shadez, Marcus, Pearl, Stella, Birdie and Deacon.
