Scotty Dean
Nicholson
Jul 4, 1957 — Dec 15, 2023
Scotty Dean Nicholson, 66, of Pageland, SC, known affectionately as Scotty to his friends and loved ones, passed away on December 15, 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born on the Fourth of July in 1957, in Monroe, North Carolina.
Scotty spent his working years as a skilled carpenter in the construction industry. The essence of Scotty's spirit was his boundless love for people. He was the life of the party, always ready with a warm smile and a friendly word. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was always the first to lend a hand or share whatever he had. His daughter of the heart, Jillian Garrison of Monroe, NC, cherished Scotty as a beacon of love and guidance. He was a beloved brother to Ricky Nicholson of Liberty Hill, SC, and Marty (Denise) Nicholson of Jefferson, SC. His son-in-law, Tony Albright of Pageland, SC, and grandchildren, Jace and Aaron Albright, both of Pageland, SC, will miss him.
Scotty's nieces and nephews, Angela Cave (Chris) and Brad Nicholson (Christy) both of Indian Trail, NC, Russell Nicholson of Florence, SC, and Michael Nicholson (Tiffany) of Woodruff, SC, along with numerous great-nieces and nephews, will fondly remember their uncle's larger-than-life presence and the joy he brought to every family gathering. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Toya Albright, and his loving parents, Bill Nicholson and Rose Deese Nicholson.
An avid fisherman, Scotty found peace and contentment by the water, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch. A jack of all trades, he could fix anything and often did, much to the relief and gratitude of those around him. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, whether at home or at the lake driving around on his golf cart with his loyal dog by his side.
Scotty's love of the outdoors extended to his enjoyment of cooking on the grill. His generous spirit was evident in the simple acts of kindness he performed, such as driving around his neighborhood to give away freshly harvested vegetables.
Loving, friendly, and generous - these words only begin to capture the essence of Scotty Nicholson. He was a man who made the world a better place by being in it, and his legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
