Mrs. Selena M. Cheek, 46, of Monroe, North Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and while under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County. Selena was born on June 12, 1971 in Union County, North Carolina to Barbara Knight Cheek and the late Gwyn Albert Cheek. Selena loved spending time with her family but most importantly spending time with her daughter, Taylor. Selena enjoyed the outdoors. She loved fishing, working in the yard, gardening, going to the beach and mountains, drawing and camping. Selena worked as a cosmetologist, airline stewardess, and in sales over the years. She never met a stranger. She was truly a people's person, with a very big heart. She loved all animals. Those who will celebrate and remember her precious life include her loving daughter, Taylor Knorr of Harrisburg, North Carolina; mother, Barbara Knight Cheek of Pageland, South Carolina; brother, Wesley Cheek (Annette) of Jefferson, South Carolina; sister, Julie Fox (Mark) of Monroe, North Carolina; also four nieces. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Baumgartner Funeral Home with Pastor Don Rhyne officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728.
