Sharon Dianne Lingerfelt Carr, 64, of Wingate, NC passed away on September 18, 2024 in Monroe, NC. She was born on December 14, 1959 in Albemarle, NC.
Sharon was the cherished wife of the late Johnny Arlee Gainey. She was a beloved mother to her daughters Tiffany Dawn Carr Linder of Monroe, NC, Jennifer Ann Carr Griffin (Wayne) of Wingate, NC, and Jacqueline Mae Edings of Oswego, KS. Sharon also embraced her role as a stepmother with Randi Gabrielle Gainey Kremer (Bryan) of Monroe, NC, Pandora Gainey Hall (Harley) of King, NC, and stepson, John Arlee Gainey (Amanda) of Concord, NC.
Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Tyler Ryan Buffkin, Amber LeAnn Griffin, Lacey Cheyenne Griffin, Dayna Lee Jordan, Matthew Jordan Fleming, Gregory Chase Moore, Joshua Dakota Edings, Hailey Mae Edings, and Annisten Jean Edings. Sharon was also blessed with the joy of great-grandchildren, River Isaiah Carnes, Greyson Ryan Buffkin, Tyler Ryan Buffkin, Jr. and Korie LeAnn Griffin.
Sharon was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Carrie Mae Lingerfelt and George L. Lingerfelt and mother, JoAnn Lingerfelt.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her for her love of cooking, which she often showcased during her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Sharon's voice could light up a room during karaoke, and her competitive spirit shone brightly in her bowling league. Her zest for life was evident in her love for shopping, going on the boat, and lounging by the pool, always surrounded by friends and family.
Sharon's home was a haven not only for her beloved family but also for her cherished dogs and cats. Music was a constant in Sharon's life. She was also an avid gamer, enjoying the thrill of competition and the laughter that came with playing games with loved ones, she also loved riding around with her daughter while door dashing.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 W. McGregor Street, Pageland, SC 29728.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Lung Association, via their website, lung.org.
