Obituary

Sudie Eubanks Jordan, 98, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Monroe, North Carolina with her family by her side. She was born on April 6, 1927, in Jefferson, South Carolina to the late Boyd Eubanks and Martha Ellen Knight Eubanks. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Eufalla, Ethel, Leoda and Lorraine and brothers, Adam, John, David and Carl.

She was a loving wife to her late husband, Clarence P. Jordan of 75 years and a devoted mother to her son, the late Jimmy Mitchell Jordan and her daughter, Lou Ellen Rowell (Richard) of Pageland, South Carolina as well as her sister, Caroyln Douglas of Kannapolis, NC who, along with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, will forever hold Sudie's memory in their hearts.

Sudie's life was enriched by her grandchildren, Mitchell Jordan (Cindy), Cynthia Parker, and Matthew Johnson (Jeri Lee), all of Pageland, SC. Her great-grandchildren, Zachary (Hali), Allie (Luke), and Peyton Parker (Lauren), Bethany and Preston Jordan, Brandon and Chloe Streater and great great grandchildren, Gannon Payne, Rowdy Parker, Silas Tzuanos and Brantley Cook. Sudie also leaves behind four step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly.

A long-standing member of Zion United Methodist Church, Sudie's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She always extended a hand of support and a word of encouragement to those around her. Sudie's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew her. She found great joy and happiness in tending to her garden and working in her yard, where she cultivated not only plants but also the beauty of nature for her family and friends to enjoy. Sudie's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of family bonds.

Those who knew Sudie would call her "Granny" and describe her as faith-filled, loving, and thoughtful. She approached life with a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her thoughtful nature was a comfort to many, and her presence was a source of stability and warmth.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Zion Hall at Zion United Methodist Church.

There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor Teri Schell and Pastor Don Rhyne officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, C/O General Fund, 647 Zion Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
