Mrs. Sue W. Lowery, 82, of Pageland, SC passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Lancaster, SC while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lowery was born on March 27, 1940 in Lancaster County, SC to the late James Henry White and Lela Rose White. She grew up all her life in Chesterfield County, SC. Sue worked for Springs & Culp Industries for many years. Sue was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Pageland, SC, where she served as the Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer and on the Cemetery Committee and Pastors Meals Monthly. During her spare time, she loved to read her Bible and visit the sick and homebound. Sue loved to cook, can vegetables from her own garden and watch soap operas and westerns on television. She loved to spend time with family, especially Sunday dinners. She had a love for decorating for the Christmas season. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Amon Lowery Sr.; son, Terry Lowery; daughter, Bimmie Love and sisters, Kathleen Funderburk and Mary Hunter. Mrs. Lowery is survived by her son, Benjamin "Bennie" Amon Lowery Jr. (Shannon Byrd) of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Rose Jenkins (Scott) of Pageland, SC; daughter-in-law, Denise Lowery of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Tiffany Faulkenberry (Bryan), Jerrica Phifer (Taylor), Brandi Brumley, Hailey Ward (Nathan), Michael Courtney (Paige), T.C. Lowery (Carley) and Taylor Lowery and great grandchildren, Brantley Faulkenberry, Landon Faulkenberry, Tegan Brumley, Bristol Brumley, McCoy Courtney, Tripp Lowery, Jaxon Melton and Arbor Phifer. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Family Life Center. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Pageland, SC with Pastor Don Rhyne officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, C/O Family Life Center, 5732 Peach Orchard Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
