Mrs. Sylvia L. Sims, of Pageland, SC passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Sylvia L. Sims was born on October 1, 1940 in Macon, GA to the late Isasc Henry Lyles and Edith O'Berry Lyles. She later met and united in marriage to Charles "Bud" Sims. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Funderburk; sisters, Mildred Smith, Helen Lyles, Barbara Elms and Marie Lyles, and brother, Ike Lyles Jr. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving husband, Charles "Bud" Sims of the home; son, Richard Carter (Jenise) of Hendersonville, NC; daughter, Rebecca Evens (Richard) of Littlefork, MN; brother, Jerry Lyles of Locust, GA; sisters Myra Wilmot of Locust, GA and Sara Lyles of Locust, GA; five grandchildren, Robbie Carter, Hila Carter, Max Funderburk, Nick Evens and Josh Evens, and one great granddaughter, Aleigha Evens and many nieces and nephews. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 7723 Pageland Hwy, Monroe, NC 28112 or Hospice of One's Choice.
