Mrs. Tammie Lynne Smith, 37, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Hospice of Union County surrounded by her loving family. Tammie was born on July 21, 1981 in Cheraw, South Carolina to Roy Lee and Debra Horne Smith. Growing up in the Pageland Community, Tammie graduated from Central High School. She loved fishing, as well as, gardening. Tammie also worked for Walmart and Family Dollar. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving parents, Roy and Debra Smith of Jefferson, South Carolina; husband, Robert Edward "Ed" Helms of the home; son, Ryan L. Smith of the home; daughter, Alexis Swanger (Brandon) of Pageland, South Carolina; granddaughter, Zoey Swanger of Pageland, South Carolina; brothers, Rayford Smith (Cassie) of Jefferson, South Carolina, Robert Smith (Charlotte) of Monroe, North Carolina, Roger Smith of Kannapolis, North Carolina; sister, Nicole Smith Ortiz (Nick) of Cheraw, South Carolina; grandmother, Leneve Horne, of Pageland, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Gypsy "Maw" Helms of the home; also her special babies, Alex, Rachael, Bailey, Sophia, and Aubrey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from the Chapel of Baumgartner Funeral Home with Bishop Donnely Coleman officiating.
