Tammy Annette Presnell, 65, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Born on February 17, 1961, in California, Tammy was the daughter of Richard Douglas and Patsy Mae Bryant.

She was raised in Michigan before moving to Pageland, South Carolina in 1989, where she built a life centered around family, friendship, and community.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Presnell; and her two sons, Bobby and Elmo Vermillion.

She leaves behind her two sons, Ron Vermillion and wife, Kristen of Pageland, SC, Chace Presnell (Beth) of Lancaster, SC; six grandchildren, Nicki and Dorian Vermillion, Caroline, Lillian, Skylar, and Owen Presnell; and her sisters, Ricki Eavey and Wendy Cook of Michigan.

Tammy began her working life as a waitress before she and her husband proudly owned and operated Elmo's

Family Restaurant in the Buford Community of Lancaster, SC for over 20 years before they closed. Through the restaurant and throughout her life, she became known for her welcoming smile, kind heart, and friendly personality. She never met a stranger, and few people met Tammy without loving her.

Raising four rambunctious boys meant Tammy's home was rarely quiet, and over the years many of their friends came to know her as "Mom" too. More than anything, she loved her family fiercely and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Tammy also adored the many grandpups she had through the years, especially Bella and Maggie.

Her memory will live on in her sons, grandchildren and the many lives she touched, the meals shared around her table, and the love she gave so freely.
