Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Roscoe Hendrix, 78, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County. Born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina on March 15, 1938 to the late Palmer Hendrix and Ethel Evans Hendrix, Tommy spent his life growing up in the Pageland Community. Tommy later met and united in marriage to the love of his life Margie Johnson. Tommy served his Country in the United States Army and also as a Deacon for several years at Providence Baptist Church where he was a member. In his free time, Tommy enjoyed raising English Bull Dogs, Truck Driving and also spending his time outdoors especially at the beach and mountains with his family. Tommy is preceded in death by one Brother, Harry Hendrix. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving wife of 55 years, Margie Johnson Hendrix of Pageland, SC, Sons, Thomas Roger Hendrix (Abbey) of Chesterfield, SC and Timothy Craig Hendrix of Monroe, NC, Daughter, Tina Sue Hendrix (Billy McKnight) of Pageland, SC, Brothers, Anthony Hendrix (Paulette) of Kershaw, SC, Rick Hendrix (Bonnie) of Pageland, SC and Bobby Hendrix (Sylvia) of Pageland, SC, Sisters, Evelyn Lewis of Pageland, SC, Lois Brewer of Spartanburg, SC, Billie Jean Ussery (Tommy) of Rockingham, NC, Peggy Smith of Cheraw, SC and Betty Ingram of Jefferson, SC, Eight Grandchildren, Roman Hendrix (Allyson), Adam Hendrix (Kelly), Will Albright, Mason McKnight, Madeline McKnight, Nathan Irvine, Chris Irvine and Daniel Irvine, Five Great-Grandchildren, Kylie Hendrix, Heidi Hendrix, Hunter Hendrix, Cannon Hendrix and Dynem Blakeney. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Wall and Pastor Steve Neal officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church.
