Thomas Finley
Kohler
Aug 20, 1940 — Jul 16, 2025
Thomas Finley Kohler, 84, of Pageland, SC passed away on July 16, 2025, in Monroe, North Carolina. He was born on August 20, 1940, in Winnsboro, South Carolina to the late William Ernest Kohler, Sr. and Sara Coffey Kohler.
Fin's life was marked by the joy he found in everyday activities. He was often seen driving around Pageland, where the open roads and familiar sights brought him comfort and happiness. An avid reader, Fin could frequently be found with a book in hand. His love for the outdoors was evident in the care he took of his yard, where he spent countless hours ensuring every blade of grass and every blooming flower was tended to with precision and love.
He is remembered with great affection by his brother, Bill Kohler of Pageland, SC, and sister, Margaret Combs of Columbia, SC. His presence as a thoughtful and fun-loving uncle will be deeply missed by his nephew, Jason Combs, and nieces, Meg Duncan (Mike) and Mollie McClellan (Marty). Fin also leaves behind a legacy of fond memories for his great-nephew, Ian McClellan, and great-nieces, Elizabeth Heydary (Nemat) and Laura Kimball (Samuel). He is preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Stewart; nephew, Tripp Kohler and sister-in-law, Sally Kohler.
Fin's life was one of quiet dignity and gentle strength. His ability to find contentment in the simple joys of life was a lesson he unknowingly imparted to all who knew him. His laughter, often sparked by the comedic moments on his favorite TV shows, was infectious and will echo in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, July 26 2025, at Baumgartner Funeral Home.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home, Pageland, SC with Pastor Patricia Bowman officiating. Burial will be at First Baptist Church Cemetery of Pageland, SC.
