Timothy Scott Cox, 67, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.

Timothy was born on January 23, 1958 in Monroe, North Carolina to Joann Collins Cox and the late James Parks Cox. Timothy's legacy is also lovingly remembered by his devoted son, Brandon Cox and daughter-in-law, Tracy of Monroe, NC; his daughters, Taryn Davis of Lancaster, SC and April Wright of Monroe, NC. His life was further enriched by the joy of his nephews, Paul Cox (Melissa) of Jefferson, SC and Jeff Cox (Renea) of Monroe, NC. Timothy was a proud grandfather to Mason Cox and Jameson Cox.

While he was predeceased by his father, James Parks Cox, his brother James "Mike" Cox, his son-in-law Justin Michael Davis, his paternal grandmother, Eunice Clark McManus and his maternal grandfather Jordan Frank Collins, the memories they shared will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved Timothy.

Timothy's passion for life was evident in his many interests. He had a talent for fixing things. His mechanical inclination made him an exceptional machinist, a profession where he not only excelled but also found great joy. Timothy's love for Westerns, NASCAR, and drag racing reflected his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for the thrills of life.

There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Walters Cemetery with Pastor Trey Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Walters Cemetery in Monroe, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humane Society of Union County, 4015 Waxhaw Hwy, Monroe, NC 28112.
