Timothy Scott "Glider"
Graves
Apr 24, 1966 — Jun 6, 2024
Timothy Scott "Glider" Graves, aged 58, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, in Florence, South Carolina. Born on April 24, 1966, in Monroe, North Carolina, to Bobbie Steen Graves and the late Richard Graves.
Timothy, known affectionately as "Glider" to his friends and family. He was a devoted father to his son, Jacob Graves, also of Pageland, SC, with whom he shared countless cherished moments. His brother, Teddy Graves, and sister-in-law, Diana, of Buena Park, California, along with his sister, Tammy Graves Ward, and brother-in-law, Brian, of Albemarle, North Carolina, will remember him as a caring and protective sibling. Timothy's life was further enriched by his beloved nieces and nephews: Nikki Dorsey (Joshua) of Jefferson, SC, Zachary B. Graves (Agnes) of Hawaii, Andrew R. Graves (Natalie) of Buena Park, CA, Abbey Ward of Alexandria, VA, and Kloe Ward, of Wilmington, NC. His extended family of numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews will miss his warm presence and thoughtful nature.
His passion for the outdoors was unmistakable, whether he was casting a line into a tranquil lake, feeling the sand between his toes at the beach, or simply taking a leisurely drive by the airport to watch the aircraft. Helicopters, in particular, held a special place in his heart, as did the thrill of drag racing motorcycles and cars.
His partner in crime, Scott Steen, shared many adventures with him, and together they formed memories that will be recounted with smiles and laughter for years to come.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Baumgartner Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Baumgartner Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, McLeod Hospice House, Attn. Administration, 1203 E. Cheves St. Florence, SC 29506.
