Ms. Verla Jane Funderburk, 87, of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013. Ms. Verla Jane Funderburk was born on September 5, 1925 in Union County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Henry and Mae Threatt Mullis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Reese Albert Funderburk, son, James Funderburk, and her daughter Sara Courtney. Ms. Funderburk is survived by her sons, Bill Funderburk (Linda) of Pageland, SC and Mike Funderburk (Doris) of Monroe, NC, daughter, Betty (Bett) Evans (Jessie) of Pageland, SC, sisters, Lenore James of Monroe, NC, Mary Killough of Monroe, NC and Joyce Courtney of Pageland, SC, sister - in - law, Madge Mullis of Monroe, NC, daughter-in-law, Nancy Funderburk of Pageland, SC, Six grandchildren, Nine great grandchildren, and special grand dogs, Mollie Evans and Mandy Funderburk. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 PM Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church.
