Mr. Walter "Jimmy" Airington, 82, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County. Jimmy was born in Peachland, North Carolina on January 1, 1934 to the Late Walter Bogan and Lessie Horne Airington. Jimmy later moved to the Pageland Community and met the love of his life Mrs. Mabel Watts Airington. Jimmy worked at Marshville Box Company for 57 years. In his free time, Jimmy enjoyed riding his motorcycle which he rode for over 30 years and also spending time with his loving family. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving wife of 60 years, Mabel Watts Airington of Pageland, South Carolina, Sons, Walter Harold Airington (Rhonda) and Mitchell Airington (Trish) all of Pageland, South Carolina, Daughter, Ann Funderburk (Chuck) of Pageland, South Carolina, Thirteen Grandchildren, Nineteen Great Grandchildren and Sister, Doris Gathings of Rockingham, NC. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland at 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 7, 2016, with Pastor Todd Montgomery and Rev. Rick Stancil officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 W. McGregor St, Pageland, South Carolina 29728.
